The Atmore YMCA Stingrays traveled to Pensacola where they earned fifth place in the 19th Annual Sprint Invitational Swim Meet on July 7.
Ten teams from Alabama, Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana participated in the meet held at Corry Station. Over 275 swimmers competed.
Atmore took the fifth spot overall with a total of 598.5 points.
Jake Hollingsworth and Kaylie Castleberry earned enough points to qualify for the Fastest Man and Fastest Woman competition. Castelberry also earned the High Point Runner-Up trophy for girls, ages 13-14, by scoring 46 points for the Stingrays.
