Mr. Franklin D. Carpenter, 66, died Saturday, July 28, 2001, in Mobile.
He was a native of Centralia, Ill., and a resident of Atmore.
Mr. Carpenter was preceded in death by his parents, Robert A. and Sarah B. Scott Carpenter; his wife, Alma Louise Flannigan Carpenter; two brothers, James William Carpenter and Albert Robert Carpenter and a sister, Violet Hill.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Lucy M. Cook of Atmore and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 1, at 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Bro. Jimmy Dukes officiating.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
