Mr. Andrew Leon "Daddy Leon" Joiner, 57, died Friday, October 5, 2001, in Abbeville.
He was a resident of Abbeville for the past 24 years and attended Assembly of God Church. He was an employee of Green Bush (Great Southern).
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeannie Joiner; a brother, David Joiner, and his grandparents, Henry and Christan Williams and Henry and Ellen Jouner.
Mr. Joiner is survived by his wife, Phyliss Joiner of Abbeville; two daughters, Melissa Britt of Grand Bay and Patricia Scott of Abbeville; his father, Euel Joiner of Molino; a sister, Estelle Britt and her husband, Douglas, of Grand Bay; 8 special grandchildren, Josh Jerry, Angie Jerry and Christian Britt, all of Grand Bay, Brittany Scott of Abbeville, Tyler Britt and Jessica Britt, both of Pascagoula and Treat and Lance Littles; a niece, Rhadonna Richerson of Molino, two nephews, Kirk Britt of Grand Bay and Ronnie Boatwright of Flomaton; a special aunt and uncle, Helen and Marvie Lee Barnett of Cantonment and numerous aunts and uncles.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 9 at 1 p.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Porter and the Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating.
Burial followed at Dry Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jerry Sanders, Gerald Freeman, Gordon Freeman, John Jerry, Ricky Jones and James Jones.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
