Mr. Henry Clayton Boone, 73, of Walnut Hill, died Monday, October 8, 2001, in Pensacola.
He was a retired correction's officer with the State of Alabama and a native of Monroe County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest E. and Lucile McArthur Boone.
Mr. Boone is survived by his wife, Ruby Boone of Walnut Hill; three sons, Roy Dunn and Thomas Henry Davis, both of Miniola and Autrey Edward Davis of Davisville; three daughters, Evelyn Lang of Howe, Okla., Betty Lou Gregg of Atmore and Joyce Morgan of Hill Ham, Tenn.; a brother, Lewis Boone of Mobile; two sisters, Vera Coleman and Janice Strickland, both of Mobile; life-long friend Hilton Davis of Atmore; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, October 10 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 11 at 2 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Perry officiating.
Burial will follow at Miniola Cemetery.
