Mrs. Ruby E. Gates, 88, of Atmore died Monday, October 8, 2001, in Atmore.
She was a retired floral assistant with Gladeola Farm and was a member of Canoe Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William E. and Janie Louise Griffith Wearren and her husband, Lonnie Gates.
Mrs. Gates is survived by a sister, Minnie E. Jordan of Pensacola and numerous friends and relatives.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, October 10 at 11 a.m. at Robinsonville Cemetery with Dr. Jesee Shackelford officiating.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
