Members of the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce will take to the airwaves next week to promote the upcoming Williams Station Day.
Monday, Oct. 22, Nancy Helton, WSD chairman, and Emilie Mims, Chamber executive director, will have a four-minute interview with Scott Walker, WPMI Channel 11, at 12:20 p.m.
Tuesday, Alan Bell will appear on WKRG Channel 5 at 8:55 a.m. The interview with John Nodar is expected to be a two-minute spot.
Thursday, Oct. 25, Wesley Channell will have a three-minute interview with Jared Willets on WEAR Channel 3. The interview will air between 6:15 a.m. and 6:45 a.m.
Friday, Oct. 26, WALA Fox 10 is scheduled to broadcast live from Escambia County Middle School. Interviewer Leah Campbell is scheduled to highlight WSD activities and cover a portion of the Alabama Blues Project which will be held at the school that day.
The Channel 10 telecast schedule is as follows:

7:15 a.m. n Matt Brabham (tentative), potter
7:50 a.m. n Alabama Blues Project
In keeping with this year's WSD theme, "Blues, Mules and Arts and Crafts," the chamber is presenting an interactive blues program featuring Big Bo McGhee for grades five through eight at ECMS. Students from Huxford Elementary, Escambia Academy and Atmore Christian School have been invited to attend the afternoon performance. The Alabama Blues Project is sponsored by the Williams Station Day committee, Alabama Power Company, and a grant through the Alabama State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Williams Station Day is Saturday, Oct. 27.
