Miss LaShelia Elaine "Pee Wee" Dixon, 28, of Atmore died Wednesday, October 24, 2001, suddenly in a pedestrian-vehicle accident in Castleberry.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Atmore and attended Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church. She was a 1993 graduate of Escambia County High School and a forklift driver for Tiger Sunbelt Chemical Company.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert L. Dixon and grandparents, Ferbie and Maple Dixon and Rosie B. Franklin.
Miss Dixon is survived by her parents, Willie Robert and Lillie Kate Dixon of Atmore; three sisters, Barbara Dixon of Moss Point, Miss. and Antoinette Dixon and Kimberly Dixon, both of Atmore and three brothers, Carnell Dixon and John Dixon, both of Atmore and Scottie Dixon of Talladega.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 29, at 1 p.m. at Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church with Dr. A. L. Durant Sr. officiating.
Burial was at Lucious Cemetery.
Pallbearers were brothers, classmates and friends.
Turner Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
