NHS, ECHS match up Friday night

The Escambia County High School Blue Devils play the Northview Chiefs in a local showdown that will pit an aggressive and undefeated NHS team against a struggling Blue Devils squad.
The Blue Devils lost a heartbreaker area game 21-12 to the Blount Leopards last Friday night while Northview remains undefeated, racking up win after win all season.
The Blue Devils played a good game but made too many mistakes to win. The Devils will try to play the role of spoiler, by spoiling Northview's perfect season.
The Blue Devils took a 6-0 lead into half-time on a stellar interception return by cornerback James Wilson.
The Devils defense played awesome in the first half. They allowed the Leopards too cross midfield only one time the during the entire first half, and that was on an exciting 25 yard punt return that set the Leopards up at the Leopard 38 yard line.
The Leopards scored 21 unanswered points in the second half, until the Blue Devils scored on their last possession.
Northview comes into the game with ECHS undefeated. They defeated the W.S. Neal Eagles last Friday night.
Northview runs a variety of offenses, varying between a spread formation and a pro formation.
On defense, Northview will run a 4-3 defensive formation.
Coach Bo Lambeth and company are seeking to hold on to an undefeated season after securing a playoff berth and going on to romp area foes W.S. Neal last week.
Lambeth and the Northview team are the clear favorites in the area contest.
The game will be at Northview on Friday night and the time will be at 7:30.
