Mr. Sylvester Sharpe Sr., 50, died Sunday, October 28, 2001, at Atmore Community Hospital.
He was a native and resident of Atmore all his life. He had worked as a machine operator with Masland carpets. He was a 1970 graduate of Escambia County Training School.
Mr. Sharpe is survived by his wife, Willie Mae House Sharpe of Atmore; two sons, Sylvester Sharpe Jr. of Atmore and Jeremie Jermaine Sharpe of San Diego, Calif.; his parents, Joe and Johnnie Mae Sharpe of Atmore and two sisters, Annie Edwards and her husband, Eugene and Kathy Ann Stonewall and her husband, Anthony Sr. and one grandson.
Visitation will be Friday, November 2 from 1 to 8 p.m at Turner Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 3 at 2 p.m. at Second Mt. Triumph Baptist church with the Rev. Bobby Ephriam officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at Lucious Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
