Mr. Edward Earl Rushing, 73, died Friday, November 2, 2001, at a local hospital.
He was a native of Samson, Ala. and resident of Atmore for the past 45 years. He attended Baptist church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Eddie Rushing.
Mr. Rushing is survived by his wife, Ann Rushing of Atmore; two sons, The Rev. John Charles Rushing of Pensacola and Victor Eugene Rushing of Atmore; three daughters, Patricia Owsley of Navarre, Debra Bagget of Chickasaw and Jean Brown of Pensacola; two sisters, Merle Brooks of Samson annd Sue Oglesby of Crestview, and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 4 at 2 p.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Wendell Hadley officiating.
Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jess W. Taylor Sr., Scott Long, Ray Milstead, Tom Young, Jimmy Brown, Christ Bryant and Jimmy Myrick.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
