Miss Ruby Jean Hicks, 51, died Monday, December 3, 2001, at Atmore Community Hospital.
She was a native of Flomaton and resident of Atlanta, Ga. for many years. She had worked as a cook in the restaurant industry. She was a 1968 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Pensacola.
She was preceded in death by her father, Sammie Lee Hicks.
Miss Hicks is survived by her motherm Ella Fair Newton of Flomaton; three sisters, Rosie May Gandy and her husband, JT, and Judy Davis, all of Decatur, Ga. and her grandmother, Leola Hicks of Century.
Funeral services we held Saturday, December 8 at 2 p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Victor Archie officiating.
Burial was at Fannie/Damascus Cemetery.
Pallbearers were friends of the family.
