Mrs. Lillie Belle Milstead, 89, of Oak Grove died Monday, December 24, 2001, in Century. She was a native of Escambia County and member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence H. Milstead and a son, Lawrence Hilton Milstead, Jr.
Mrs. Milstead is survived by a son, Howard Milstead of Oak Grove; four daughters, Frances Hanks and husband, O. M., of Bratt, Mary Coon and her husband, W. P., and Helen Haddock and her husband, Helton, all of Oak Grove, and JoAnn White and her husband, James R., of Tallahassee; a sister, Amanda Godwin of Oak Grove; 18 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, December 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Gilley officiating.
Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Will Perkins, Richard Caum, Travis Johnson, Kendall Milstead, Craig White, and Lawrence Coon. Honorary pallbearers were Trent Milstead, Michael Hanks, Cody Burroghs, Dale Perkins, Todd White and Joe White.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
