Mrs. Ethelene O'Farrell Gibson, 75 of Oak Grove died Thursday, January 24, 2002 at Jay Hospital, Hospice Care, following a lengthy illness.
She was a native of Escambia County and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church at Bratt.
Mrs, Gibson survived by her husband of 54 years, David Gibson; two sons, Larry Gibson and his wife, Carolyn, and Mike Gibson and his wife, Linda, all of Oak Grove; a daughter, Linda Stabler and her husband, Ronald, of Oak Grove; four brothers, Eugene O'Farrell and his wife Esther of Davisville, Ellis O'Farrell and his wife, Julia of OakGrove, Everette O'Farrell his wife, Janise, and Lamar O'Farrell and his wife, Joan, all of Bratt; four sisters, Estele Hanks and her husband, Irvin, of Cantonment, Carolyn Morgan and her husband, Dalton, Reita Lowery and her husband, Charles and Patricia O'Farrell, all of Bratt; eight grandchildren, Gary Gibson and his wife, Lynn, Jennifer Freeman, David and Jason Stabler, Robbie Gibson and his wife, Myra, Amy Gibson, Steve White and his wife, Aurora, and Tracey McDonald her husband, Jason; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday January 27 at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church in Bratt with the Rev. J.T. Guyton officiating. I
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Jason Stabler, David Stabler, Robby Gibson, Bruce Lowery, Steve Whites and Trent Freeman. Honorary pallbearers will be Douglas and Christine Morgan, Ed and Berta Campbell, Bernice Purvis and Gleta McElhaney.
