Mr. Jerry Gunn, 53, died Sunday, February 10, 2002, in Oak Grove.
Mr. Gunn was a native and lifelong resident of Oak Grove. He was a member of FOP, PBA, a Sargent for the Atmore Police Department for 23 years and attended Oak Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Richard Sirmon.
Mr. Gunn is survived by his wife, Shirley Gunn of Oak Grove; his father and step-mother, A. R. and Geraldine Gunn of Atmore; his mother, Janice Sirmon of Oak Grove; two sons, Christopher Lamar Gunn of Deatsville and Ronald Shane Gunn of Millbrook; two step-sons, Joseph Lee Westbrook and his wife, Kim, of Atmore and Bentley Joe Westbrook of Oak Grove; a step-daughter, Tabitha Lynn Mitchem and her husband, Paul, of Navarre; two brothers, Leamond Alvin Gunn of Pensacola and Arthur Glennon Gunn of Walnut Hill; a step-brother, Marlin Gunn of Atmore; three sisters, Joyce Coleman of Bay Springs, and Sheila Coon and Patricia Gunn, both of Atmore and five grandchildren, Stephanie, Lauren, Sierra, James and Becka.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 13 at 2 p.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Gilley and Bro. Robert Harrison officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
