Ms. Brenda Ann Poindexter, 29, died Thursday, February 21, 2002, at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola.
She was a lifelong resident of Atmore and member of Gaines Chapel A. M. E. She was a certified nursing assistant at a nursing home in Brewton.
She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Glenda Poindexter-Franklin and a grandmother, Sarah Mildred Poindexter.
Ms. Poindexter is survived by a daughter, Da'drien Simone Lymon of Atmore; her mother, Linda Faye Crook of Atmore; her father and step-mother, John Joseph and Mary Poindexter of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three sisters, Tenika Crook of Atmore, Annaleese Hodges of Brewton and Jessica Poindexter of Oklahoma City; her grandparents, James and Ida Pearl Mitchell of Atmore and her step-fathers, Jimmy Marshall and Charles Crook, both of Atmore.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 26 at 1 p.m. at Gaines Chapel AME Church with the Rev. A. Timothy Days officiating.
Burial was at Fair View Cemetery.
Pallbearers were friends of the family.
Turner Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
