Mrs. Rae Ford died Monday, February 25, 2002 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Ford had been a native of Marion County, Miss. and a resident of Atmore since 1959. She was the owner-operator of the Dairy Queen from 1959 to 1972 and attended the Community Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Ford, Sr.
She is survived by two sons, Girault W. (Barbara) Ford, Jr. of Atmore and Franklin D. (Debra) Ford of Grand Bay; her sister, Margaret Sublutte of Columbia, Miss.; a nephew, Artie (Beth) Sublette of Pasadena, Texas; a niece, Linda Chevaliter of Hattisburg, Miss.; five grandchildren Brian Ford, Michael Ford, Kevin Ford, Kimberly Vitullia and Devin Ford; and one great-grandchild, Anna Vitullia.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 27, at 10:00 a.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Elder Benny Barnes and Elder Glen Wardolorp officiating.
Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetary in Columbia, Miss.

She was a member of Pilgrim Lodge Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest Wade of Century; three daughters, Mattie Smith of Century, Joyce Karen Wade of Oak Park, Ill. and Dr. Patricia Walker Wade of Shelton, Conn.; two sons, John Charles Adam of Chicago, Ill. and Wendell Edward Wade of Baton Rouge, La.; two granddaughters, Lisa Berry of Springfield, Ill. and Anita Berry of Alliance, Ohio; two sisters-in law, Dorothy Wade and Rose Wade; two special friends, Mrs. Ruth R. Paige and Mrs. Betty Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 23 at 1 p.m. at Pilgrim Lodge Baptist Church with Pastor LEonard Watson Jr. officiating.
Burial was at Century Cemetery.
Robinson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
