The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a reception in honor of newly appointed Atmore Police Chief Bruce Lovett on Thursday, April 11 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Atmore Lions Community Center.
Lovett was named Police Chief at the March 25 meeting of the Atmore City council.
Lovett was named Acting Police Chief Feb. 6 by an emergency meeting called by the Atmore City Council.
Lovett and his wife, Susan who is originally from Atmore, have 3 daughters and 7 grandchildren. Lovett and his wife married in 1968.
