Mrs. Annie M. Williams Thomas, 84, died Monday, June 17, 2002.
She was a native of Canoe and longtime member of First Mt. Zion Baptist church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ossie Thomas Jr.; three sisters, Katie Lee Williams, Rosie Dobbie and Irene Dobbie and three brothers, Jesse Williams, Joe Williams and Elliott Williams.
Mrs. Thomas is survived by a Goddaughter, Maggie Powell of Brewton; a sister, Willie P. Thomas of Century; two brothers, Jimmie Williams of St. Louis, Mo. and Richard Williams and his wife, Doris, of Detroit, Mich.; nieces and nephews, Frances Frazier of Century, Charlie James Williams and his wife, Shirley, of Houston, Texas, Diane Thomas-Hayes of Charlotte, N. C., Annie P. Dixon and her husband, Bernard, of Flomaton, Mittie Stallworth of Mobile, Ivory McWilliams and family of Pollard, Juanita Thomas and family of Century and Donald Ross Hayes Jr. of Charlotte; special friends, Thelma Hunter of Century and Bobby Joe Whatley and his wife, Johnnie Mae, of Greenville, S.C. and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 22 at 1 p.m. at First Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Freddie L. Stallworth officiating.
Burial was at Pollard Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charlie James Williams, Alfonso Williams, Donald Ross Hayes, Sr., Bernard Dixon and Marlo Hayes. Flowerbearers were friends of the family.
Robinson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
