George Hamilton 'Hamp' White

George Hamilton "Hamp" White, 75, of Perdido, died Thursday, June 20, 2002.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Baldwin County Highway Department and U. S. Army veteran of WWII.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Herman White and Willie White; a sister, Inez White and his parents, Crocket and Marie White.
Mr. White is survived by his wife, Dorothy Elaine White of Atmore; five brothers, Joseph Franklin White of Daphne, Robert N. White of Seminole, David C. White of Naples, Fla. and Victor White of Atmore and four sisters, Amelia Huggins of Wilmer, Mary Louise Smith of Gulf Breeze, Pauline Smith of White House Fork and Shirley Bryars of Perdido.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 22 at 2 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Helen Stewart and Sister Thursia Long officiating. Burial followed at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Cemetery.
Norris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
