Mrs. Thelma ELizabeth Townson, 85, died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at a Florida hospital.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Byrneville and attended Byrneville United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Townson; a son, Kenneth Shelton Townson and a granddaughter, Gina Louise Quimby.
Mrs. Towson is survived by two sons, Buster Townson and his wife, Melba, and John Townson and his wife, Betty, all of Byrneville; a daughter, Margie Wood and her husband, Jesse, of Byrneville; a sister, Bedie Wilson of Byrneville; eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 2 at 10 a,m, at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Bert Weis officiating. Burial followed at Byrneville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mike Townson, Burley Dale Townson, John Townson Jr., Randy Quimby, Nick Carrol and Allen Holland.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
