Two Atmore robbers picked the wrong house last week.
Early Friday morning, two would be robbers attempted to break into a home on the 300 block of Fourth St. and were chased away by the homes occupants.
Anythony Harris, 21, and Anthony Gee, 21, both of Atmore, were arrested a short time later following the failed robbery attempt.
Harris and Gee kicked in the door at the home and entered. It is unsure whether Harris and Gee knew the residents were at home.
One of the residents gave chase to the suspects, while the other phoned the Atmore Police Department. Four officers, including one investigator, responded at the scene within minutes.
APD officer Paige Howell saw a man fitting the description of one of the assailants and apprehended him at gunpoint a short distance from the home.
A short time later, Cpl. Frank Bryars spotted the other suspect and took him into custody, Lovett said.
They were transported to the Escambia County (Ala.) Correctional Facility in Brewton.
Charges are pending a complete investigation into the incident.
