Rotary Club Enjoys "Family Night" At City Park Tuesday
The Atmore Rotary Club's first "Family Night" was a wonderful success and ended up as a wedding party, honoring the club's lone bachelor, Ralph L. Smith of Atmore, and the former Ms. Juanita Durr of Brookhaven, Miss.
Kindergarten To Open At Grammar School
Mrs. Ethel Lowery has announced that she will conduct a kindergarten on the Grammar School grounds. The date for the opening has been set for September 29.

Auburn Student Teachers Help Out At ECHS
Student teachers have been assisting the regular agribusiness teachers at Escambia County Senior High and Escambia County Junior High for the past week. The two student teachers from Auburn University are Tommy E. Young and Anne Graham. The two students will remain with the classes through the end of this week as part of their pre-teaching field experience in the School of Education at Auburn.
Exchange Students Arrive Seeking New Experiences
Two exchange students, Gloria Mercedes Azacarate from Buga Valle, Columbia, and Jose Antonio Garay Hernadez from Mexico City will be attending classes at Escambia County Senior High in Atmore.

Williams Station Day Route Established
The Williams Station Day steering committee last week adopted the official route for the festival, which is set for October 24, 1992.
The first leg extends 1.1 miles and includes rail, residential and business areas.

Alabama's fatality rate from motor vehicle crashes, long known to be above the national average, was in 1991 second in the nation both per 100,000 population and per 100,000 licensed drivers, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation Fatal Accident Reporting System.
