To the Editor:
I would like to thank all the citizens, churches, schools, and businesses that were so kind as to acknowledge the Atmore police Department on 09-11-02.
Police officers, firemen, and emergency personnel often make sacrifices for the citizens in our community without regard to our own safety. We are warmed by the response from you, the people, in thinking about us, and caring about what we do. The many letters we received from young children also touched us. While we do this job out of commitment and dedication to duty, it is still nice to be acknowledged for the effort.
