Funeral services for Catherine Smith, 73, will be held today, Nov. 6, 2002, at 2 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, with Rev. Fred Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Serenity Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held today, Nov. 6, 2002, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral home at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
A native of Mexia, Ala., she was a former resident of Atmore for 40 years and a resident of Pearland, Texas, for the past four years. She was a retired employee from Vanity Fair after 42 years and attended the Baptist Church. She died on Nov. 3, 2002 in Pearland, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Alvin Smith. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Debbie Smith of Pearland, Texas; three grandchildren, Jerred Smith of Pearland, Texas, Julie Jackson of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Chris Meng of Pearland, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Danielle Jackson and Taylor Jackson; three brothers, Clark Hayes of Pascagoula, Roy Hayes of Sulfur, La., and Doug Hayes of Port Arthur, Texas; and three sisters, Carrie Jay of Uriah, Annie Jean Davis of Uriah and Edna Davis of Pascagoula.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Vaughn DeWayne Jones, Jr.

Funeral services for Vaughn DeWayne Jones, Jr., 22, will be held today, Nov. 6, 2002, at Cora Baptist Church, with Brother Henry Judy officiating. Interment will follow at Cora Baptist Church Cemetery.
A lifelong resident of Jay, Fla., he was a graduate of Jay high School, where he received a scholarship to UTI in Texas, where he earned an associate degree in auto mechanics. He then went on to further his education at the Ford Factory Unit in Phoenix, Ariz., where he received a Ford Factory Warranty Certiciation.
he and his fiance were residents of Atmore. He loved football, NASCAR, fishing and spending time with his family, fiance and friends. he died on Nov. 2, 2002.
He is survived by his fiance, Stacey Rice of Atmore; his father and stepmother, Vaughn, Sr., and Lucy Jons of Jay; two brothers, Shawn and alan Jones of Jay; a step-brother, Joshua Merritt of Huntsville; a step-sister, Krista Merritt of Auburn; two grandmothers, Jeline Jones of Andalusia and Willie Piece of Gulfport, Miss.,; and his mother, Sherry Quickie of Pensacola.
Active pallbearers will be Lewis Lail, Brandon Rice, Matt Cooley, Eric Flemming, Jeremy White, Chad Jones and Phillip Ifft. Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen Dunsford, Mike Evans, Josh Kimmons and Brandon Welch.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bank of America in the Vaughn DeWayne Jones, Jr., Trust Fund.

Julia Marie Rigby

Funeral services for Julia Marie Rigby, 85, were held on Nov. 4, 2002 at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, with Rev. Fred Brown officiating. Interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery.
A native of Eveleth, Minn., and a former resident of Chicago, Ill., Pensacola and Gulf Breeze, she had been a resident of Pensacola since 1979. She attended the St. Ann's Catholic Church and is preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Ono Rigby and an infant son, Mark Lawrence Rigby. She died on Oct. 30, 2002 in a Pensacola hospital.
She is survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Betty Rigby of Longwood, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Christine Rhonda Dixon Rolin

Funeral services for Christine Rhonda Dixon Rolin, 62, were held on Nov. 2, 2002 at 3:30 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Stuckey officiating. Interment followed at New Home Cemetery.
A native and former resident of Flomaton, she was a resident of Atmore for the past three years. She attended the Holiness Church. She died on Oct. 30, 2002 in Atmore.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Wayne Rolin of Atmore; and two daughters, Tonya Dixon and Rhonda Dixon, both of Flomaton.
Pallbearers were Johnny Rhodes, Gregory Rolin, Christopher Rolin, Josh Bailey, Ricky Williams and Matthew Shanks.

Roger Dale Rodgers

Funeral services for Roger Dale Rodgers, 45, were held on Nov. 2, 2002 at Atmore Memorial Chapel. Interment followed at the Bay Minette Cemetery in Bay Minette.
A resident of Century, he died on Oct. 31, 2002 in an area hospital.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Winniece and Floyd Lee Henry of Century; a son, Joshua Glenn Rodgers of Pensacola; two sisters, Shelia Rodgers and Denise Rodgers Johnson; three step-sisters, Doris Kelly of Milton, Sarah Guilford of Ensley, and Diane Ward of Cantonment.
Atmore Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
