I would like to thank Lindsey Sherrill for her article about Veteran's Day in the paper recently.
I agree with her that there is a great deal of leniency in the country about that day. It is just a day off for some people to go to work or go hunting, fishing, shopping or for kids to skip school. It would be nice if people would place as much importance on it as they do some of he other days on the calendar.
Once again, thank you very much for the article.
