Christmas Lighting Gives City Gala Holiday Atmosphere
Atmore has taken on a holiday atmosphere with the erecting of downtown Christmas lighting. The light's were turned on this past week.
The Atmore Chamber of Commerce, which erects the street lighting annually, has called attention to several new pieces of lighting which have been added this year. Plastic Santa Claus heads, reindeer, bells, etc., help augment the multi colored lights used for the past several years.
Night Hunters Get Fines In Baldwin
Eight men, four reportedly from the Atmore area, drew heavy fines in Justice T. C. Hand's court in Bay Minette Monday for alleged night hunting.
The men were charged with hunting deer at night, being arrested by Game Wardens Homer S. Walters and Frank Paul on a road in North Baldwin County.

Christmas Parade To Feature 31 Units
Atmore's annual Christmas parade, featuring 31 units and 12 new professionally designed floats will begin today at 2 p.m. at City Hall.
The parade, which is sponsored by the Retail Trade Committee of the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce, will feature the floats, clowns, Boy Scouts, Brownie Troops, high school bands, beauty queens, cheerleaders, Indian princesses, police cars, fire trucks, horses, candy, and Santa Claus.
Four Atmoreans Held For Huxford Robbery
Four Atmore residents have been arrested and charged with robbery following an armed hold-up at Folmar's Grocery store in Huxford on Wednesday, November 30.

Despite cool temperatures and gusting wind, area residents lined the streets of Atmore for the annual Christmas parade last Saturday night.
Ambulance Service Gets Top Rating
The Atmore Ambulance Service received the highest rating given by Florida-exemplary vehicle status-from the Sate of Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services.
