The L.A. Bikers will hold its Third Annual Toys for Tots Bike Ride Saturday starting at 9:45 a.m.
Registration for the event, which annually raises money to purchase toys and other items for needy children during the Christmas holidays, will begin at 9 a.m. The ride will leave David's Catfish House in Atmore at 9:45 a.m.
Cost for event is $10 per person, and t-shirts will be available, although sizes will be limited. Everyone is welcome to participate in this event.
A free holiday concert will be performed on Dec. 20 by the L.A. Pops.
The non-profit musical group is part of the Greater Escambia County Arts Council. The group will be performing starting at 7 p.m. at the Community Cup in downtown Atmore. The concert will be indoors.
The group will perform a 45-minute concert featuring traditional Christmas music, including hymns such as "Hark the Herald Angels Sing," "Joy to the World" and many others.
The group consists of about 20 players from around the area, with all musicians donating their time and efforts to the performance. Some additional members are expected to be added when students return from college.
The concert will be performed free of charge, and everyone is invited to stop by and enjoy some holiday music.
