Troy awards degrees to local students

Troy State University presented degrees to nearly 382 students during fall commencement ceremonies held Dec. 13 in Sartain Hall.
Dr. Jack Hawkins Jr., chancellor, presented degrees to students in the College of Arts and Sciences, Sorrell College of Business, College of Communication and Fine Arts, College of Education, and College of Health and Human Services.
Eric Breithaupt Stuart and Valorie Freeman Jones of Atmore and Kristin Nicole Adkisson and Allison Brooke Madden of Brewton received Bachelor's degrees.
Cullman businessman Roy Drinkard, a member of the TSU Board of Trustees, delivered the keynote address.
Troy State University offers associate, bachelor's, master's and education specialist degrees. It is the main campus of the Troy State University System, which also operates a branch campus and two independently accredited universities in Alabama and maintains degree programs at more than 50 sites in 15 states and eight foreign nations. The TSU System serves more than 20,000 students.
