Annice Tyree-Barnhill, area director of the Mid-South Division of the American Cancer Society, will be the keynote speaker Thursday at the Annual Relay for Life Kickoff Luncheon.
This year's event, which is being catered by David's Catfish House, will start at 12 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. All proceeds will benefit the Atmore Relay for Life event, scheduled to be held on May 16-17 in Tom Byrne Park.
Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door from any American Cancer Society Committee member for $7.
The luncheon traditionally kicks off the fundraising efforts of teams throughout the area to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The event culminates with the actual Relay for Life May 16.
