What once was the Walco Pep gas station on the corner of Trammell Street and Hwy. 31 in the 1950's is undergoing a remodeling.
Spontaneous Investments, an investment group comprised of several businessmen, has purchased the building and began plans to renovate the parking lot and the original structure on Friday.
"Downtown looks good and we wanted to make this look good," Rob Breckenridge, one of the investment group owners said. "We feel good things are coming to town and we think it will be a good welcome piece of realestate to see coming in on Hwy. 31."
Although the group said they plan to remodel the building to match its original design and install a new parking lot, they haven't decided on any future plans for the building at this time.
