Conway Dickinson of the Fort Mims Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was at ECMS on Friday to congratulate 11-year-old student James Webster for winning first place in the DAR's History Essay Contest while his mother Yolanda Webster hugs him. "I'm just overwhelmed," Yolanda Webster said. "He's always enthused to write these papers. He's participated for several years now." The young Webster, whose essay was entitled "A Letter from Valley Forge: Winter, 1777-1778" received a $50 savings bond, a ribbon to pin on his jacket and a certificate from the DAR signifying his achievement. "We're very proud of him. He wrote a wonderful essay," Dickinson said.
