The Ladies of Essence Mardi Gras Ball will be held Saturday night at the Atmore Lions Community Club.
Cost for tickets is $10 per person, and tickets can be purchased at the door. Dress for the event is business or Sunday dress, and no blue jeans will be allowed.
The ball will feature the one-man band of Theodore Arthur from Mobile.
The event is held every year in conjunction with the Mardi Gras season, which begins officially on Friday night.
The Ladies of Essence Mardi Gras Parade will be held on March 1, with lineup beginning at 9 a.m. at City Hall.
The public is invited to attend either or both events.
