During the war against Iraq, The Atmore Advance will be profiling military personnel with local ties. To feature a loved one or friend serving in the military who has ties to the Atmore area, stop by the offices of The Atmore Advance and pick up a form to fill out.
There is no charge for this service.
Byron D. Tims, Jr.
Tims, a native of Atmore, is currently serving as a Petty Officer 3rd Class AT3 with the United States Navy. He is attached to the 600 Division/AIMD Oceana, where he repairs F-18 radar.
He is the son of Catherine and Dale Tims and the grandson of Byron and Vernell Tims and Nell and the late Eddie Staff, Sr.
He has two sisters, Susan Tims and Carlie Ward, a nephew, Andrew Ward, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
