On Thursday, several Escambia Academy young men stepped out and dressed up for the annual Womanless Beauty Pageant.
The pageant, this year entitled "Girls Just Want to Have Fun," was put on by the junior class and featured eight EA beauties. These contestants included Peachy Cream (Chris Moore), Emmy Lou (Justin Emmons), Nikki Ann (Bo Giddeons), Mataline Amerson (Matt Amerson), Vanilla Swirl (Ankoo Currie), Brandi Wilson (Brandon Wilson), Zsa Zsa Smith (Zach Smith), and Rosie Spears (Robert Hardy).
The evening began with the introduction of the contestants. The contestants then competed in a physical fitness routine before the judges picked the Top Three contestants, Peachy Cream, Nikki Ann, and Brandi Wilson.
Last year's Mr. Miss EA Sandy Ann Afghan (Steven Shirley) gave her farewell walk before the winner of the contest was announced. Several surprises occurred at this time including the first time "unveiling" of Sandy Ann and then an attempted robbery of the Mr. Miss EA crown by sore-losers Zsa Zsa Smith and Rosie Spears.
When at last the judges announced their decisions, Peachy Cream was named Miss Hospitality. Brandi Wilson was second alternate, Nikki Ann was first alternate, and Peachy Cream was crowned 2003's Mr. Miss EA.
Renee Hardy, a teacher at EA, was emcee for the evening. The pageant was judged by Escambia Academy teachers Glen Taylor, Laurie Moore, and Bobbi Sasser. Amanda Kirby provided entertainment between events.
