Keith Brian Grice

Funeral services for Keith Brian Grice, 33, will be held on March 29, 2003 at Pilgrim Lodge Baptist Church in Century, with Rev. Leonard Watson, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow at Century Cemetery.
There will be a family hour on March 28, 2003 from 7-9 p.m. at Pilgrim Lodge Baptist Church in Century. His body will also lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
A native of Century, he had been a resident of Pensacola for a few years. He was a member of Pilgrim Lodge Baptist Church and worked as a laborer with the Amstaff Company at Solutia in Pensacola. He died on March 21, 2003 at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola after suffering injuries in an automobile accident in Pensacola.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Bernice Smiley, and his grandmother, Lucille Grice.
He is survived by his parents, Charlie L. and Mary A. Grice of Century; three daughters, Donya D. Grice of Brewton and Alisha K. Grice and Keyth B. Grice, both of Century; a sister, Felicia Y. Grice of Century; and a brother, Kelvin Brant Grice of Newport News, Va.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family and his classmates.

Johnnie A. Presley

Funeral services for Johnnie A. Presley, 95, will be held today, March 26, 2003, at 2 p.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Thursia Long and Brother Lonnie Penton officiating. Interment will follow at Presley Cemetery in Lottie.
Born in Lottie on Sept. 5, 1907 to the late John David and Annie Dunn Presley, he was a retired farmer. He died on March 24, 2003 in Atmore.
He was preceded in death by a former wife, Emma Eddins Presley, and a stepson, Kenneth V. Vickery.
He is survived by his wife, Cleo Steward Vickery Presley of Atmore; four sons, J.D. Presley of Pensacola, James "Snooks" Presley of Baker, La., Fred L. Presley of Atmore, and Preston McGhee of Poarch; two daughters, Mildred Presley Stewart of Perdido and Joyce Presley Lassitter and her husband, Woodrow, of Maysville, N.C.; a stepdaughter, Linda Vickery Cody of Pensacola; a step-daughter-in-law, Ilene Vickery Niedergeses of Perdido; a brother, Tunstall "OT" Presley of Atmore; 27 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Joseph Ernest
"J.E." Phillips

Funeral services for Joseph Ernest "J.E." Phillips, 82, will be held today, March 26, 2003, at 2 p.m. at the Calvary Deliverance Temple Church, with Rev. Paul Enginfer and Rev. Jack McCullough officiating. Interment will follow in the Dry Springs Cemetery.
A native of Thomasville, he had been a resident of Walnut Hill for the past 76 years and was a member of the Calvary Deliverance Temple Church. He was retired from the Escambia County, Fla., Sheriff's Department after 22 years as a deputy. He died on March 23, 2003 at his home in Walnut Hill.
He was preceded in death by a son, Junior Phillips; his parents, Occie and Shady Phillips; and a brother, M.V. Phillips.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Virgie Mae Phillips; two sons, Vernon (June) Phillips of Walnut Hill and Doug (Cindy) Phillips of Walnut Hill; three sisters, Bernice Purvis of Bratt, Margaret McCullough of Walnut Hill and Mabel Raines of Pensacola; six grandchildren, Shannon Phillips, Scott Phillips, Kenda Edgar Phillips, Selena Phillips, Jason Phillips and Heath Phillips; and five great-grandchildren.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mary Eliza Robinson

Funeral services for Mary Eliza Robinson, 90, will be held today, March 26, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Atmore, with Brother Rabon officiating. Interment will follow at Lucious Cemetery in Atmore.
A native of Mexia in Monroe County, she had been a resident of Chicago, Ill., for many years and a resident of Atmore for a few years. She worked as a pediatric nurse and was a member of Kindgom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. She died on March 19, 2003 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Hayes; her parents, Lula and Daniel Robinson; three sisters and four brothers.
She is survived by four daughters, Doris Thomas and Virgil McCullom, both of Atmore; Lucy Moore of Plainfield, Ill., and Magnolia Scullark of Memphis, Tenn.; a son, Bobby J. (Katie) Hayes of Chicago, Ill.; a sister, Ruth Robinson of Atmore; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Mary Taylor

Funeral services for Mary Taylor, 72 and a resident of Century, will be held on March 29, 2003 at Pilgrim Lodge Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Family members will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. on March 28, 2003 at Pilgrim Lodge Baptist Church in Century.
Taylor died on March 21, 2003 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola.

James Darrell Roley

Funeral services for James Darrell Roley, 48, were held on March 24, 2003 at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, with Rev. Alan Harp officiating. Interment followed in Godwin Cemetery.
A native of Atmore, he had been a resident of Mobile and Atmore for most of his life. He was a member of the Bratt First Baptist Church. He died on March 20, 2003 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward James Roley. He is survived by his mother, Glennie Byrd of Atmore; a brother and sister-in-law, Mitchell and Lynne Roley of Newnan, Ga.; his two dogs, Lulu and Beau; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousings.
Pallbearers were Barry Fullerton, Curtis Pete Lister, Harold Martin, Greg Martin, Ronnie Martin and Bobby Martin.

Eddie R. Wiggins

Funeral services for Eddie R. Wiggins, 55, were held on March 25, 2003 at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, with Rev. Chris Hawkins officiating. Interment followed at Beulah Chapel Cemetery.
A native of Byrneville, he had lived in Jay for a number of years before returning to Byrneville. He died on March 23, 2003 at a local hospital.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rufus Clayton Wiggins; a sister, Evelyn Wiggins; and two brothers, James Wiggins and Robert Wiggins.
He is survived by his mother, Dora Wiggins of Byrneville; two sons, Clayton Wiggins of Milton and William Wiggins of Jay; two brothers, Rev. R.C. Wiggins of Byrneville and Randall Wiggins of Byrneville; a sister, Alice Ruth Raines of Evergreen; and a granddaughter, Jessica Denise Wiggins of Milton.
Pallbearers were Miron Wade Raines, Anthony Cody, Cleve Morgan, Eddie Hall and Randy Roberts.
