Guy Sharpless Gets First New Ford Sold Here: Others Soon
The first new Ford owner in Atmore is Guy E. Sharpless, proprietor of Reid Drug Company. Delivery was made to him by the Escambia Sales Company Tuesday.
The new car is a Tudor sedan and attractively painted in the latest color type, a two tone blue.

Irish potatoes are beginning to come up now and the farmers promise us a fair stand. The majority of people have already planted corn and are preparing their land for cotton. Cold weather has hindered all the little truck gardens.

Revitalization to Cost $2.35 million
The revitalization of downtown Atmore will cost $2.35 million but it's not an impossible task.
The entire project will probably take ten years said a representative.
Dads Pay Back Child Support
Over 100 fathers provided some $15,000 in back child support during an all-day session before District Judge Gordon Batson Thursday.
The court appearances marked the largest number of delinquent fathers' summoned at one time in over three years, officials said.
