Racing today at Flomaton Speedway will have a twist, as a Ladies Powder Puff Race is scheduled to follow the Late Model Feature this afternoon.
Historically, these races feature wives and girlfriends of racers; however, if any ladies are interested in driving a car, they can contact the track off at (251) 296-DIRT and officials will try to match women up with a car owner.
Today's race program will be the final Sunday afternoon race of the season, as the track goes to its normal Saturday night shows starting April 12.
All four divisions – Late Model, Hobby Stock, Street Stock and Bombers – will continue to run on the Saturday night weekly schedule. The first two weeks of racing have drawn a dozen cars in each class and have four cars already in the new Bomber class. The Bomber class is a "pure stock" type class that anyone can enter into for very little money and no experience.
