National recording artists The Crabb Family will appear at Escambia County High School Auditorium on Friday April 25, 2003 at 7 p.m.
The Crabb Family brings to the stage a six-piece live band and six vocalists.
In just five years, they have worked their way to the top of Southern Gospel music charts.
They are notorious for number one songs such as "Don't You Wanna Go," "The Reason That I'm Standing," "That's No Mountain," "Through the Fire," "Please Forgive Me," "Trail of Tears," "I Sure Miss You," and "The Lamb, the Lion and the King", all penned by group patriarch, and five time GMA "Songwriter of the Year" recipient, Gerald Crabb. Gerald also wrote the group's current single, "Please Come Down To Me."
The Crabb Family also brings to the stage soloist Mike Bowling. Mike has sung with groups such as the New Hinsons, the LeFevres and the Perrys.
Since his marriage into the Crabb Family, he has embarked upon a solo career that has afforded him several top 20 hits including "Somebody Did Some Praying for Me," "No Stranger to the Valley," and "Forgiven, Forgotten, Forever, Amen."
Mike has just celebrated his second number one song. His first one, "Thank God for the Preacher," topped the charts in December of 2001, while his testimony song, "The Call," was the number one song for the month of July.
Mike is the first Southern Gospel soloist in seven years to have a number one song, and the first ever to have back to back number one songs.
His current single, "Another Valley Left Behind," was written by Gerald Crabb. In addition to a powerful concert, the Crabb Family also offers a complete multi-media presentation and stage lighting that have gained a tremendous amount of positive attention.
The Crabb Family will perform on Friday, April 25, 2003 at 7 p.m. at the Escambia County High School Auditorium.
