Miss Atmore contestants get ready to compete in 26th annual pageant

Get ready, Atmore, the 26th annual Miss Atmore pageant is happening Saturday, May 10 at 7 p.m. at ECHS in Hodnette Auditorium.
This year's pageant will feature eight young ladies from the Atmore area competing in interview, poise and appearance, and physical fitness categories.
In addition to the selection of the top three contestants, Miss Congeniality, Miss Hospitality, physical fitness, and poise awards will be awarded.
The theme for this year's pageant is "God Bless America." Tickets are available in advance from any contestant for $5 for adults and $3 for children or for $6 for adults and $3 for children at the door.
Biographies of the contestants:
Contestant number one is Shelby Hester. Shelby is the sixteen year old daughter of Natalie Stevenson. She is currently a sophomore at Escambia Academy.
Contestant number two is Meagan Bell. Meagan is the fifteen year old daughter of Alan and Gail Bell. She is a sophomore at Escambia County High School.
Christina Henderson is contestant number three. She is the sixteen year old granddaughter of Hilrey and Lillie Entrekin. Christina is currently a junior at Escambia Academy.
Contestant number four is Heather James. Heather is the daughter of John and Peggy James.
She is seventeen years old and a junior at Escambia Academy.
Contestant number five is Tracey Coleman. Tracey is the eighteen year old daughter of Connie Digmon and Homer Coleman.
She is a senior at Escambia Academy.
Contestant number six is Jessie McKinley.
Jessie is a sixteen year old sophomore at Escambia County High School. She is the daughter of Danny and Kathy McKinley.
Stephanie Gehman is contestant number seven. She is the seventeen year old daughter of David and Shyrell Gehman. Stephanie is a senior at Escambia County High School.
Contestant number eight is Lindsey Sherrill. Lindsey is the seventeen year old daughter of Kent and Anne Sherrill. She is currently a senior at Escambia Academy.
