Summer feeding program offers free meals

The Community Action Agency of Baldwin, Escambia, Clarke, Monroe and Conecuh Counties is proposing to operate the Summer Feeding Program from June 9 to August 1, 2003, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and other necessary closures, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Meals will be provided to all eligible children free of charge.
To be eligible to receive meals at an enrolled site, children must meet income guidelines for free and reduced meals in the National School Lunch Program and must be enrolled at the site. Open sites have no income restrictions.
In accordance with federal law and the U.S. Department of Agriculture policy, the agency is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability and is an equal opportunity provider and employer. Community Action Agency is a United Way Agency.
The proposed site in Escambia County is H.E.L.P. Community Outreach Program (Flomaton Area).
Site participation is limited to dead line requirements and submission of requested documentation.
