Randolph B. Luttrell, Sr.
May 9, 2003
Funeral services for Randolph B. Luttrell, Sr., 91 and a resident of Atmore, will be held Monday, May 12, 2003 at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Doug Newton and Wesley Kendall officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Family will receive friends tonight at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m.
Luttrell was a retired owner of Bateson's Furniture Store.
He was born in Brewton on March 26, 1912 to the late Randolph and Georgia Binion Luttrell and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Luttrel of Atmore; a son, Randolph B. "Rusty" Luttrel, Jr., of Atmore; a daughter, Betty Kelly Kendall of Grand Junction, Colo.; a sister, Lucille Howell of Atmore; three grandchildren, Guy Kendall, Kelly Kendall, Caitlyn Luttrel; and four great-grandchildren, Rebecca Kendall, Catherine Kendall, Joshua Kendall and Britton Kendall.
Charles "Charley" Brown

Funeral services for Mr. Charles "Charley" Brown, 64, will be held today, May 14, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at the Atmore Baptist Temple. The Rev. Doug Odom will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
He passed away on May 12, 2003 at a local hospital.
He was born in Century, FL on Dec. 11, 1938, was a past resident of Pensacola, resided in Atmore for the last 7 years.
He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard, retired after 20 years as Chief Warrant Officer.
He was retired from his floor covering business.
He was an avid coon hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the sport with numerous friends.
He was a member of Atmore Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; John Brown and Lula Mae Stokes Brown, and a brother; Carl Brown.
He is survived by his wife; Patsy Brown of Atmore, two sons; Chuck (Kathleen) Brown of Molino, FL, and Joe (Melissa) Brown of Pensacola, his daughter; Darlene (Gene) Devine of Cantonment, FL, two stepdaughters; Vicki Shanks of Atmore, and Jennifer (Gordon) Fay of Colorado Springs, CO, five grandchildren; Tabitha Brown, Derek Brown, Danielle Brown, Cody Brown, and Cheyanne Brown, four step-grandchildren; Heather Shanks, Matt Shanks, Lauren Fay and Eli Fay.
Pallbearers; Leroy Findley, Jimmy Moye, Robbie Moye, Joe Chandler, David Pipkin and Dempsey Hall.
Honorary Pallbearers; fellow coon hunters, Willie Thrift, Pete Johnson, Aubrey Johnson, Peanut Shaw, Otto Ard, Martin Stokes, Eddie Lee Lambert, Marvin Lambert, Randy Chance, Austin Lee and Tyler Moser.
Christine Davis

Funeral services for Mrs. Christine Davis, 73, of Bratt, FL, will be held today, May 14, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. The Rev. Fred Brown will be officiating the service. Burial followed at Godwin Cemetery.
She passed away on May 12, 2003 at a local hospital. She was a native and lifetime resident of Bratt, FL and attended the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband; Robert Lee Davis, and a daughter; Liz Johnson.
She is survived by two sons; John R. (Noreen) Davis of St. Augustine, FL, Terry Davis of Bratt, her daughter; Sandra (Van) Johnson of Nokomis, her sister; Doris Miller of Fort Lauderdale, FL, 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Lita Presley Brown

Funeral services for Lita Presley Brown, 81, of Perdido will be held Wednesday, May 14, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Brooks officiating. Interment will follow at Perdido Baptist cemetery.
Mrs. Brown was a retired employee of Monsanto Corporation where she worked as a drawtwist operator for 20 years. She was also a foster mother to a number of children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bryant and Beatrice Presley; two sisters, Loter Vee Powell and Augustine Kyser; and a daughter, Irma Jean Brown.
She is survived by three sons, Charles Brown of Atmore, Al, Donald Brown of Perdido, Al, and Gralin Brown of Orange Park, FL; three daughters, Lavern Wasson of Mechanicsville, MD, Carolyn Bryany of Somerville, TN, and Diann Fretwell of Mechanicsville, MD; three sisters, Dimple May of Perdido, Al, Grace Allen of Bay Minette, Al, and Syble Jerkins of Bay Minette, AL; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
Pallbearers will be Greg Bryant, Robert Bryant, Kenneth Wesson, Wasson Fretwell, Pablo Cruz, and Ollie Presley. Norris Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
Elwyn H. "Mike" Clark

Funeral services for Elwyn H. "Mike" Clark, 68, were held Monday, May 12, 2003, at the East Side Chapel Funeral Home, President Bill Beech and Elder Pete Coon officiated. Interment followed at Flomaton Cemetery.
He passed away on May 9, 2003 in Bay Minette.
He was a native of Elmira, NY, a former resident of Olympia, WA, and a resident of Flomaton for the past 8 years, a member of the National Rifleman's Association, a veteran of Vietnam, and retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years.
Clark was also a volunteer teacher at Flomaton and Huxford schools. He was an avid genealogist, a missionary worker and devoted family man.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Judy Clark of Flomaton; his son, Matthew Daniel Clark of Flomaton; two daughters, Stephanie Ann Reaves of Flomaton, and Kelli Ann Best of Atmore; a brother; Rodger Clark of Lincoln City, Ore.; and five grandchildren, Adrian Clark, Kala Nea Fore, Kristen Best, Ashley Best, Alexis Clark.
Pallbearers were Matt Reaves, Matt Clark, DeeJay Best, Tommy Fore, Pete Coon, and Bill Beech.
