A two car accident on Main Street resulted in an overturned truck that slowed traffic on Main Street Tuesday morning.
At 11:23 a.m. a 1996 Mercury Mystique driven by a teenage girl struck a 1995 Chevy F-150 driven by a teenage boy.
According to a report filed by the Atmore Police Department, the teenage girl was traveling north on Main Street in the outside lane. The teenage boy was traveling south on Main Street in the inside lane and attempted to turn left onto Craig Street.
The teenage boy failed to yeld the right of way because of an unseen vehicle.
The teenage girl tried to avoid hitting the F-150 by veering left, but she struck the truck on the right front quarter-panel, which caused the vehicle to overturn on the driver's side.
