The Atmore City Council met Monday night and made three committee appointments. Those appointed were:
* Planning Board- Mike Johns
* Cemetery Committee- Elise Crook and Sandra Whitaker
* Tree Commission- Gertha Adams
In other business:
The council carried a motion that approved the Atmore Church of God located on Jack Springs Road to hold a parade on the west side of town. This parade was requested by Pastor Sanford and is a church function parade.
Mayor Howard Shell made a request to the media to remind citizens of the public hearing on flooding that will take place 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the city auditorium. Shell asks that all citizens with flooding problems attend.
