Mrs. Hazel Odom Murray, 90, of Bluff Springs, Fla., died Friday in Bluff Springs. Mrs. Murray was a native of Century and a resident of Bluff Springs since 1958.
She is survived by her husband, Rupard M. Murray of Bluff Springs,; one brother, Frank Odom of Century; many nieces and nephews; and a neighbor, Rosa Johnson of Bluff Springs.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Eastside Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Little Escambia Cemetery.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Susan Gray Cross

Mrs. Susan Gray Cross, 54, of Bay Minette, died Thursday in a Mobile hospital. She was a native of Blacksher and a resident of Bay Minette for most of her life. She attended New Life Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. "Bill" Cross; a sister, Voncile Gray; and her parents, Mack and Lizzie Gray.
Mrs. Cross is survived by three brothers, Mack D. Gray and wife Sharon of Bay Minette, Michael W. Gray and wife Denise of Bay Minette, and Willie F. Gray and wife Rena of Atmore; two sisters, Barbara A. Hayles and husband Joe of Bay Minette, and Deborah L. Hadley and husband O'Neil of Splinter Hill; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the New Life Baptist Church with Rev. Otis Thames and Rev. Joe Welch officiating. Burial will follow at Lottie Methodist Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Joseph Hayles, Curtis Gray, Kevin Hadley, Jesse Gray, Nicholas Gray, Barry Williams, Jackie Glasglow, and James Glasgow.

Minnie Lou Wilson Gates

Minnie Lou Wilson Gates, 93, of Atmore, died Tuesday.
She was born Jan. 19, 1910 and was a lifetime resident of the Atmore area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Andrew Gates; her parents, John Lee and Moley Catherine Grissett Wilson; three grandsons, Larry White, David White, and Bill White of Pensacola; and a great-grandson, Will Peterson of Fort Worth, Texas.
Mrs. Gates is survived by three daughters, Christine White and husband Joel of Cantonment; Ruth Wilson and husband John Edward of San Antonio, Texas, and Mavis Gates of Birmingham; four grandchildren, Michael White and wife Yolanda of Schertz, Texas, Glen White of Grand Bay, Judy Peterson and husband Gene of Fort Worth, Texas, and John Wilson and wife Patty of Grand Prairie, Texas; eight great-grandchildren, Patrick White, Jeremy White and wife Sherrie, Brian White, and Jamie White, all of Pensacola, David Peterson of Fort Worth, Texas, Jason Wilson, Sarah Wilson, and Rebecca Wilson, all of Grand Prairie, Texas; one great-great-grandson, Alex White of Pensacola; one brother, Rev. Andrew Wilson of Byrneville, Fla.; three granddaughters-in-law, Jane White of Mandeville, La., Kathy Johnson and husband Greg of Brandon, Fla., and Janice White of Pensacola; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral home with Dr. Charles T. Carter of Birmingham and Rev. Fill Enfinger of Cantonment officiating. Burial followed at Canoe Freewill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Atmore or any charity.
