Elder Jimmie Lee Baldwin, 55, of Atmore, died July 9 in Atmore Community Hospital.
He was a life time resident of Atmore and served as associate pastor at Faith Tabernacle Holiness Church. He worked a container paper company for more than 30 years and was currently working as a supervisor. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1965-1969. He was a 1965 graduate of Escambia County Training School and had attended Faulkner State Community College in Bay Minette.
Mr. Baldwin is survived by his wife, Linda H. Baldwin of Atmore; his mother, Ida Nell Baldwin of Atmore; three sons, Jeffrey Baldwin and wife Sherrie of Huntsville, Trevor Jermaine Baldwin, and Michael Daniel Baldwin, both of Atmore; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Faith Tabernacle Holiness Church with Dr. Van McPherson officiating. Burial will follow at Stallworth Cemetery. Pallbearers will be friends of the family and classmates of the 1965 ECTS. Honorary pallbearers will be ministers and clergy.

Mary Wadeema Strawbridge Guyton

Mary Wadeema Strawbridge Guyton, 81, of Sulligent, died Thursday at her residence. She was born in Marked Tree, Ark. to the late Thomas Garland and Alice Estel Millican Strawbridge. She was a longtime resident of the Sulligent area, a homemaker, and a member of Mullberry Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband John B. Guyton; two brothers, Thomas Priddy Strawbridge and James Edward Strawbridge; and an infant daughter, Paula Guyton.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Wright and Kathy Nelson and husband Pete, both of Sulligent; eight sons, Hugh Daniel Guyton and wife Christa of Springfield, Ga., Johnny Thomas Guyton and wife Shirley, Jack Guyton and wife Linda, both of Atmore, Billy Ray Guyton and wife Becky of Vernon, Ricky Guyton and wife Kathy of Fayette, James Edward Guyton and wife Tonia, Ronnie Guyton and wife Liz, and Marshall Guyton and wife Leitha, all of Sulligent; two sisters, Sylvia Joann Gibson and husband David of Bratt and Martha Sue Roley and husband Clarence of Bay Minette; three brothers, Ronald Strawbridge and wife Loyce, Ollie Strawbridge and wife Rachel, and Lewis Gaines Strawbridge and wife Hazel, all of Atmore; 27 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Norwood Funeral Home Chapel in Sulligent with Rev. J.T. Guyton and Rev. Randy Wright officiating. Pallbearers were grandsons Danny Guyton, Billy Thomas Guyton, Phillips Guyton, Micah Guyton, Jonathan Guyton and Rev. J. T. Guyton.

Marguerite V. Salter

Mrs. Marguerite V. Salter, 88, of Huxford, died Friday at her residence. She was born Sept. 13, 1914 in Escambia County, Ala. to the late Jackson Kirby and Abbie Jane Thigpen Vickery. She was a retired merchant with grocery store and was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Salter, and brother, Albert K. Vickrey.
Mrs. Salter is survived by one sister-in-law, Audrey Vickery of Huxford; a niece, Judy Layton of Lyulee, Fla.; a nephew, Jerry Vickery of Huxford; a step-daughter, Doris Knight of Owassa; many nieces and nephews; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles McPherson and Rev. Glen Waldrop officiating. Burial followed at Latter Day Saints Cemetery in Huxford. Pallbearers were Matthew Vickery, Jerry Vickery, Jason Layton, Steve Tuberville, Trey Rogers, and Jason Rogers.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
Larry Collins Baker

Mr. Larry Collins Baker, 40, of Escambia County Ala., died Friday in a local hospital. He was a native of Mobile and a long time resident of Escambia County, Ala. He was a Protestant by faith.
Mr. Baker is survived by his wife, Lisa Baker of Brewton; three sons, Daniel Baker and Justin Baker, both of East Brewton, and Dillon Baker of Atmore; his father and stepmother, William Samuel Baker, Jr. and Dot Macil Baker, both of Brewton; three brothers, Clifton Samuel Baker, William Doug Baker, and Donald Gene Baker, all of Brewton; a sister, Pam McKinley of Brewton.
Funeral services were held Monday at 4 p.m. from the Craver's Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Doug Greer and Rev. Fred White officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Cemetery.

Larry Maurice Whatley

Mr. Larry Maurice Whatley, 51, of Atmore, died Friday in a Mobile hospital. He was born Jan. 18, 1952 in New Orleans, to Otis and Carrie Belle Whatley. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frank Whatley.
Mr. Whatley is survived by his wife, Rita Hall Whatley; three daughters, Carrie Ann Walker and husband Kim of Atmore; Rita Darlene Hadley and husband Dywayne of Canoe, and Stefanie Diane Whatley of Atmore; two brothers, Wayne Whatley and wife Bunny of Atmore, Don Whatley and wife Linda of Atmore; five grandchildren, Jonathan Wade Hadley, Kendra Lashae Hadley, Carrie Marie Walker, Larry Sean-Michael Dywayne Hadley and Timothy Jason Walker.
Funeral services were held Monday at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Harp and Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial followed at McCullough Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tim Walker, DyWayne Hadley, Rodney Hall, Tommy Young, Paul Whatley, Michael Stanford, Mike Ward, Michael Tuberville, Rodney Whatley and Gregory Stanford.
Atmore Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Claiborne Dukes

Claiborne Dukes, 91, of Atmore, died Sunday at Atmore Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Stallworth Cemetery.
