Northview no match for Chipley

Northview Chiefs could not hold on against No. 7 -ranked Chipley Friday night, going down 40-10.
Northview quarterback Nick Driver got his team on the board first when he made a field goal with 6 minutes remaining in the first quarter. But Driver was injured in the third quarter and did not return.
Chipley quarterback Marcus Yager threw a 58-yard touchdown pass with 3:49 left in the quarter and the PAT was good.
Trey Forrest scored the next two touchdowns for Chipley. Yager struck again with a 65-yard touchdown before the end of the half.
Chipley scored on run and a 30-yard field goal was good.With less than a minute left in the third quarter, Chipley scored on a run.
Chipley scored again ona blocked punt and ran it in.
Courtny Whatley gained a touchdown for the Chiefs on a run play. Travis Duncan's extra point concluded the scoring. .
Jordan Stacey was the leading rusher for Northview with12 carries for 62 yards, followed by Trey Mims with 8 carries for 47 yards.
Nick Driver was 6 for 14 with 2 interceptions and 52 yards. Whatley was 2 for 6 with one interception for 49 yards. The offense had a total of 246 yards.
Travis Mitchell led the defense with four solo tackles and five assists. Driver came up with the defense's only sack of the game.
