Hunter safety class sponsored by the Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries will be held 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Sept. 27 and 1-5 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Jefferson Davis Community College, Brewton Campus. Escambia County Middle School 5th and 6th grade math students only and their parents/guardians are invited to Math Night from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for refreshments and fun. Math activities and SAT 10 scores.

Oct. 1
The ECHS Class of 1958 is celebrating its 45th reunion and invites the classes of 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959 and 1960 and their spouses or dates for a multi-class party at 7 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Wisteria in downtown Atmore. Nokomis Volunteer Fire Dept. will hold a yard sale starting at 7 a.m. at the firehouse.
Atmore Church of God, 90 Jacks Springs Road will hold a yard sale 8 a.m.- until
Ladies of St. Anna's Episcopal Church will hold a yard sale 8-noon with light lunch to follow. Proceeds benefit Sunday school classes.

Atmore Health Department will begin giving flu shots to high risk patients, those 65 and older, or with chronic diseases such as heart disease, asthma or diabetes. Available 8-11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. All Medicare patients must bring Medicaid cards.

Atmore Family Life Center at the old middle school on M. L. K. Ave. provides after school tutoring and a new technology program. Tutoring for exit exams is available.
