Friday night was a night filled with emotion, this homecoming game. During halftime the Homecoming court is escorted across the field and is introduced to the people attending the game. As the maids came across the field a small biography for each one was read to the audience as they held center stage.
As junior maid, Brittany Dailey was escorted across the field neither she nor anyone in her family knew how much of a homecoming this would be. For the past two and a half years Brittany's brother, Terrence Terrell Dailey, a sergeant with the United States Army has served our country proudly overseas, and has not had a chance to come home.
As Brittany stood in front of the crowd, her biography began with how proud her brother was of her and wanted to congratulate her in person. The look on Brittany's face was priceless as she noticed that Sgt. Terrence Terrell Dailey had flown in from Baghdad and was now directly in front of her. Sgt. Dailey joined his sister there on the field as not just an escort for her, but as her brother.
