Mr. Arthur Deese, 88, formerly of Atmore died Wednesday at his residence in Monroeville.

Aninta M. Benson, 76, of Enon, Fla., died Sunday at her home. She was employed as a cashier for the U.S. government while accompanying her husband in the military. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Aldea Cabana.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Benson; three sons, Philip Dennis Hayes of Hopkinsville, Ky., Lawrence "Larry" E. Hayes of Portsmouth, N.H., and Bryan Douglas Hayes of Walnut Hill; one brother, Charles Cabana of Jackson, Miss.; three sisters, Pauline Kimball of York, Maine, Jean Lachance of Rye, N.H., and Dorothy Heater of Mich.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Grindle officiating.
