Clara E. Morris
Mrs. Clara E. Morris, 83 of Atmore died Thursday, March 11, 2004, in Atmore. She was a Seamstress with Vanity Fair Mills. She was born in Andalusia on October 3, 1920, to the late Judge and Fannie Ritter Spence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Morris and a son, James Thomas Morris.
She was survived by three sons, Gene D. and Glenda Pruett of Mobile, Fred P. and Betty Pruett of Atmore and Paul Ray and Darlene Morris of Milton; three daughters, Janice and Thomas Hayles of Atmore, Geraldine and Ronald Porter of Semmes and Elaine and James Pruett Carroll of Atlanta; grandchildren that Mrs. Morris raised, Elaine Day, Sherry Morris and Paul Ray Morris Jr. all of Atmore; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was Saturday, March 13, 2004, at 2 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery with Bro. Mike Grindle officiating. Family received friends Saturday, March 13, 2004, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 1 to 1:45 p.m.

Jimmy Lee Ray
Mr. Jimmy Lee Ray, 72, died Monday, March 8, 2004 in Fairhope. Mr. Ray was a native of Clovis, N.M., former resident of Texas and Arkansas, a former resident of Fairhope for 25 years, and a resident of Atmore for the past seven years. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was an ordained deacon for Robinsonville Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, A.T. and Pearl Ray; a brother, John Paul Ray.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Jo Ray of Little Rock; two sons, Kevin Ray of Tuscaloosa and Joseph and Jeni Ray of Little Rock; two daughters, Vickie and Robert Allen and Debbie Gray all of Daphne; a brother, Robert Ray of Prairie Grove, Ark.; a sister, Mary Reed of Cane Hill, Ark.; four grandchildren, Christopher Gray, Scott Allen and Laura Allen all of Daphne and Mary Ellen Ray of Little Rock.
Funeral services were Thursday, March 11, 2004 at 10 a.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. Burial was followed at Robinsonville Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday, March 10, 2004 between 5:30 and 8 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Children's Rehabilitation Service in Mobile.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
